Francesca Thompson is a Senior Programme Manager at Orthopaedic Research UK, bringing extensive experience from both the NHS and the charity sector. Over the past eight years, she has played a pivotal role in the development and national scale-up of ESCAPE-pain, a rehabilitation programme for knee, hip, and back pain, created by Professor Mike Hurley, now implemented in over 300 centres across the UK. With a background in managing health-related projects focused on behaviour change, she previously worked on tobacco prevention initiatives in the USA.
