FSEM(UK)
President of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine, Clinical Director Moving Medicine, Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine, Oxford University Hospitals.
I have dedicated my career to the FSEM vision, to 'improve the health of the nation through physical activity'. In particular my interest is in delivering physical activity as a key preventative intervention through healthcare. I have led the development of the Moving Medicine resources, Active Hospital initiative and the physical activity clinical champions programme with key partners.
Physical activity as a key determinant of health inequalities is a particular interest of ours at present.
This session will focus on experiences of delivering physical activity through health, the challenges of tackling inequalities through physical activity and current work direction to address this agenda.
