Becca is a practising Soft Tissue Therapist and a tutor. With a background in PE education, she introduced Physical literacy models within her Massage and Soft Tissue Therapy practice to provide an on and off the couch comprehensive treatment to people in pain. However, Becca’s clinical focus suddenly shifted to pregnancy care in 2020 when as a new expecting mother she experienced first hand, the lack of quality support complementing standard NHS care and the excessive medicalisation surrounding birth. Since then, Becca has trained and specialised in the care of the woman from conception to pregnancy and early motherhood, and champions access to knowledge so that mothers can make a true informed choice about the care they want to receive. Becca has recently co-created with colleagues Anna Maria Mazzieri and Sarah Jones a course for Pregnancy and Post Partum care which through its strong evidence based and multidisciplinary content represents an update and overhaul of Massage in Pregnancy training in the UK.
